Carl Brown

Carl Brown 70, passed away Saturday May 13, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

 

A funeral service will  be 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Pilgirims’ Rest Church, Olivia, NC conducted by Reverend Billie Buie and Bishop Willie Gilmore. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Southern Pines, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.  

 

Carl, the son of Rosie and the late George Brown, was born April 1, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY.  He was the eldest of eleven children. One daughter, Monique Williams and six siblings preceded him in death: George, Tyrone, Dolores, Marilyn, Deborah and Theresa.   

 

Carl  attended Pilgirims’ Rest Church where he was a willing worker.  He loved his church and church family dearly.  Carl worked various job and retired from Village View Housing, Brooklyn, NY in January 2005.  At that time he return to live in North Carolina.

 

Carl is  survived by his loving wife, of 13 years, Evangelist Ann Brown, daughter: Lauren Faith Brown; sons: Carl Brown Jr. and wife Angela, of Wilson, NC, Thomas Brown, of Brooklyn, NY, Quami Moore, of Oakland, CA; mother: Rosie Brown; mother in law; Laura Sue Lee; sisters: Rebecca Brower (Reggie), Arminta Brown, Vernessa Brown, Cecile Harrington; grandchildren: Breyonna Brown, Skye Brown, Kaila Brown, Anastasia Brown, Alaysia Brown, Quami Moore, Jr.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and others that he dearly loved.
