Catherine Lucille Seawell Shields, age 90 of the Putnam community died Wednesday at her home.
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Cool Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Hulen Ray and Effie Hughes Seawell. She worked in textile and later with her husband in farming.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Alton Shields and a brother Henry Seawell.
She is survived by: sister Helen Thomas of Olivia brothers Gurney Seawell and wife Mable of Goldston, Ray Seawell, Floyd Seawell and wife Jackie, Linton Seawell and Eugene Seawell all of Putnam; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
