Catherine Tabler, age 88 of Tara Plantation died Tuesday (July 9, 2013) at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Tara Plantation. (820 S. McNeill St.) in Carthage. Burial will be held in Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville, MD at 3pm on Saturday, July 13th.
Catherine was born on February 3rd,1925 to the late George and Eileen (nee Burdette) Binnix. She lived in Rockville, Md, where she raised her family, then became a nurse and worked for many years at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington in Bethesda. She moved to North Carolina after she retired, and was one of the original residents at Providence Place in Aberdeen, where she lived for 15 years until moving to TaraPlantation. She enjoyed making and dressing dolls, crocheting and other crafts.
She was preceded in death by her son Roger B. Tabler and her son in law Philip H. 'Skip' Vetter, III..
She is survived by: a daughter Charlotte T. Vetter of Carthage; grandson Brian Vetter and wife Shannon of Apex, NC.
