David Neal Rookstool

David Neal Rookstool, 60, passed away at Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, December 18, 2025. 

Neal was born on February 28, 1965, in Baltimore City, Maryland, to the late Marvin and Cathrine Stover Rookstool. 

In High School, the school recognized his gifts, and he took classes for the “gifted and talented”. This began his training in plumbing while in high school. He became a master plumber, then built his own business with his best friend, Anthony. Over the years, they built a small business that also included home renovations. He possessed many talents, including restoring old Volkswagens and showcasing them at car shows. He was also a fanatic Baltimore Ravens fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Danny Lee Rookstool, and his brother-in-law, Richard Woelfer. 

Neal is survived by his sisters, Tammy Woelfer of Essex, MD, and Cheryl Rookstool of Curtis Bay, MD; his five nieces, Misty (James) Dobson of Newport News, VA, Ruby (Joshua) Nolt of Lancaster, PA, and Valerie (Joshua) Fortner of Glen Rock, PA, Christine Mossman, Jessica (Marc) Mossman-Dunn, and nephew, Gregory Mossman of Knoxville, TN; and his five great-nephews and six great-nieces. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later time in Maryland in Neal’s memory.
