Della Baugess Whitaker, age 57 of Carthage died Thursday at her residence.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March, 22, 2016 at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late William Guy Baugess & Bertha Nunnery Baugess. Throughout her life she had various jobs including: working several years at the Chuck Wagon restaurant in Carthage, Ithaca Industries and her most loved job, being a caregiver to her mother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Guy Baugess, Jr. and a daughter, Tammy Lisa Wallace.
Survivors include: her daughters, Candy Ann Wallace of Carthage and Christine Bosworth of Cameron; four sisters, Jessie & Dan Danley of Browns Summit, Linda & Robert Williams of Lemon Springs, Donna Driggers of Carthage and Betty Ann Johns of Hope Mills; three brothers, Ralph & Judy Baugess of Carthage, Boyd Dale & Betsy Baugess of Burlington and Mitchell & Edna Baugess of Lobelia.
Fry & Prickett Funeral Home is serving the Whitaker family.
