Doris Wilkes Hussey, 82 died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Tal Madison officiating.
She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and shopping.
Doris was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Bessie Chavis Wilkes. She was preceded in death by sisters: Mildred McDonald, Margie Ford, Helen Kennedy, Ada Wiles, Josephine Purvis, brothers: Woodrow Wilkes, Carl Wilkes, Grant Wilkes, Ted Wilkes..
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Grady Hussey and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Kennedy Funeral Home.
