Dorothy S. Flinchum, age 84 died Tuesday (February 17, 2009) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Lamm's Grove Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Calvin Harward. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Squire Joel Flinchum, Sr. and Rachie Inman Flinchum. She worked in local textile mills and assisted on the farm. She was preceded in death by: brothers Squire Joel Flinchum, Jr., Lawrence A. Flinchum, Sr., and Billy Ray Flinchum.
She is survived by: sisters Mary Lou Brady Martin of Lillington, Katherine Harward of Cameron, Mac P. Flinchum of Aberdeen, Jack H. Flinchum and Wayne T. Flinchum both of Carthage; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Wednesday (tonight) from 6:00 —8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
