Edith Morgan Kennedy, age 93, of Robbins passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her  family on Thursday, April 2, 2026. 

Edith was a native of Moore County.  She worked for Milliken Industries and retired from St Joseph of the Pines.   Edith loved going to Holden Beach, painting bird houses and sea shells.  The family will always remember the taste of her wonderful persimmon pudding. She was a faithful member of the High Falls United Methodist Church. Time spent with her family was very special to her. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

She was a daughter of the late Elias and Lora Boone Morgan and was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years: Jack, daughter: Gail Amato; sister: Viola Auman; brothers: Lamon Morgan, Vernie Morgan, Clanie Morgan.

Edith is survived by daughter Janice Troxler and husband Billy; son: David Kennedy and wife Kim; grandchildren; Nicole Burley(James), Christopher Amato, Jessica Foil, Joseph Troxler (Nouchi), Amber Shelton (Jordan), Kaelyn Coble (Mason); great grandchildren: Rachel, Donevon, Katie, Kiptyn, Keegan, Jackson, Jenna, Hunter, Josie, Logan, Julia, Kai, Jameson  and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 3 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at High Falls United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM.
