Eula Monroe Holt, 83 died peacefully, Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her residence.

 

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Elise Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Jon Neuhs officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest cemetery.

 

Eula loved her family and especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. She loved her church and spending time with her many friends in Robbins. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking her famous sweet potato pies, and most of all helping anyone in need that she could.

 

Eula was a daughter of the late Allen and Nora Baldwin Monroe . She was preceded in death by her husband Jasper J. Holt, son: Jasper Shaun Holt, brothers: Gilbert and Norman Monroe, sister: Peggy Jenkins.

 

Eula is survived by son: Stan Holt and wife Misty, of High Point, grandchildren: Aydan and Emma,  brother: Allen Monroe, sisters:Verna Marrie, Noreen Quinn, Betty Meeks and many nieces and nephews.  

 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at  Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Elise Presbyterian Church,  P O Box 637, Robbins, NC 27325 or Reelin' for Research, 1852 Banking Street #9333, Greensboro, NC 27408, to help children fight cancer.
