Evon Seawell Thompson

Evon Garner Seawell Thompson 78, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, with the Reverend David Woodhouse and Reverend Edwin Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the Committal Service in the church Family Life Center.  

  Evon was a native of Moore County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from Randolph Hospital, was a member of Ladies Sunday School Class at Smyrna and loved doing benefits to help others in the community.   She was a daughter of the late Ernest and Eva Hussey Garner and was preceded in death by sister: Jeweline Hussey, husbands: Henry Seawell and Glenn Thompson.

  Evon is survived by son: Garry Seawell and wife Loretta, of Robbins; daughter: Janet Seawell Flinchum and husband Dale, of Robbins: grandchildren: Kari Flinchum Stewart and husband Mikie, Craig Seawell, Justin Flinchum; brother: Raymond Garner, of Randleman; sister: Joyce Caviness, of Randleman.
