Frances Hussey Cheek 102, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Lindsay Collins and Reverend Wilson Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest Cemetery.  

 

Frances worked in the textile industry until her retirement. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.  She enjoyed working in her flowers and making yo-yo pillows and quilts. Frances loved her family and treasured spending time with her great great grandchildren: Dakota and Carson. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Cheek.

 

Frances is survived by daughter:  Betty Jo Cockman, of Robbins; granddaughter: Roxanne Monroe and husband Timmy, of Mt Gilead; great granddaughter: Ashley Green and husband Chad, of Bennett; great great grandsons: Dakota and Carson Green; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday, April 18, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

 

The family thanks Liberty Hospice and Tammy Farber, RN for their amazing care of the entire family, also the beloved neighbors, relatives and friends who visited, called and met the family’s every need.
