Fred Teague, 84, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Fred worked at Robbins Oil Company for 25 years before leaving to open his own business. He owned and operated Teague’s Frogtown Pottery, along with his wife for 33 years.  Fred loved sitting on the porch at the shop with a good cup of coffee, talking to customers,  who often became dear friends. He loved camping and going to gospel singings. Traveling from the coast to mountains across North Carolina and Virginia.  Fred loved the Lord, his family, his friends, his church. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was the happiest when he was with them.

Fred was the son of the late Edgar and Bessie Comer Teague and was preceded in death by sister: Betty Lou Moore, brother: Lacy Teague.

Fred is survived by wife, of 62 years, Jean; daughter: Patty Allen and husband Ricky; grandchildren: Joshua Allen and Lauren Baker, Addison Green and husband Dakota; sister: Ruth OQuinn; many nieces, nephews and friends.
