Gary K. 'Scoot' Conklin, age 58, left this world to be with God, on Saturday, February 1, 2014.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, February 3, 2014 at Kennedy Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Gary was born August 14, 1955 to the late Billy Conklin and Lillian Bullins. He was preceded in death by son, Mark Travis Conklin.
Gary retired from his painting business of 30 years in 2007. He loved fishing, hunting, his family and his God.
Gary is survived by his wife, of 34 years, Margaret Poole Conklin; son: Dale K. Conklin, of the home; daughter: Nakia A. Conklin, of Star; grandchildren: Jacob D. Conklin and Justin K. Conklin, of Carthage, Keely S. Conklin, of the home; sister: Gail Britt, of Mt. Gilead; brothers: Dean Bullins, of Robbins, Don Bullins, of Asheboro.
Kennedy Funeral Home is serving the Conklin family.
