Gene Edward Needham, age 77, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Cross Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Barbery officiating.
A native of Moore County he was the son of the late Diffie Cornelius Needham and Mary Ruth Stamey Needham. Mr. Needham retired from the NC Department of Transportation where he worked as a motor grader operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Canaris Fortson.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Betty Roberts Needham; a son, Eddie Needham of Carthage; two brothers, D. C. Needham and Mark Needham both of Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends at the home.
