Gloria Ann Finch

Gloria Ann Finch passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at the age of 91. Gloria was born in Rochester, New York, on August 7, 1932, to the late Frederick DeLorme and Catherine (Hafele) DeLorme. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew James Finch, of 61 years. 

Gloria was a horse trainer and jumper. Gloria and her horse, Black Cloud, took first place in a Madison Square Garden event. Gloria and Andy loved being involved with the horses and the many rodeo activities. She loved to dance and sing and was a member of the Sweet Adelines. 

Gloria is survived by her sons, Daniel J. Finch and wife Beverly of Parrish, FL, Keith A. Finch and wife Deborah of Palmetto, FL, Martin J. Finch (Peggy McNeil) of Aberdeen, NC, Timothy J. Finch (Karen Williams) of Aberdeen NC; her daughter Lori Fluet (late husband Normand Fluet) of Aberdeen NC. 

Gloria was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

Gloria was a kind, caring, and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. She will be dearly missed by all. 

Gloria and Andy were most recently members of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Southern Pines, NC, where Gloria was a member of the St Anthony Guild. 

There will be a Celebration of Life Mass held Friday, January 19th, 2024, at 9:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 160 E Vermont Ave Southern Pines, followed by a burial service in the Church Cemetery off of Camp Easter Rd in Southern Pines.
