Helen Britt Spivey

CARTHAGE
Helen Britt Spivey, age 72, died Friday (6/7/2013) at Pinelake Health & Rehab Center.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM on Sunday at Putnam Friends Church with the Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Britt & Lee Garner Britt. Helen retired from Carthage Fabrics with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Spivey; grandson, Cooper Spivey; sisters, Ginger Purvis and Blanche Teague; and a brother, Stephen Britt.
Helen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lendon E. Spivey; a daughter, Linda Spivey Taylor of Carthage; a son, John Spivey; of Carthage; ten grandchildren, Sonia Kusek, Amy Hanes, Derrick Taylor, Richard Spivey, Jasper Spivey, Nicholas Spivey, Shanna Spivey, John Spivey, Matthew Spivey & Jaxson Spivey; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home.
