Helen Maness Morgan, 80,  passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, peacefully, at her home.  

 

Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at High Falls Christian Church Cemetery, with Pastor Chris Wilson and Pastor Ben Hurley officiating.  The body will lie in state from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Home.  Due to COVID 19 no family visitation is planned.  The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Cheryl Rush.  If you would like, please bring a chair for your use at the graveside service.

 

Helen was a native of Moore County. She worked in textiles and also at the Little Village Restaurant.   She loved the Lord and her church family.  Her family was always her life and time spent with her grandchildren was most important.  Helen enjoyed crossword puzzles, drawing and playing bingo. The beach was a place that she enjoyed and she loved going there with 3 special lady friends, Crystal McFadden, LuAnn Kidd and Judy Hickman. Helen was a daughter of the late Racy and Beulah Kennedy Maness and was preceded in death by sons: Billy Surrency, Kenny Surency;  brothers: Roy Lee Maness, Lester Maness; granddaughter: Amber Rush.  

 

Helen is survived by daughters: Cheryl Rush and husband Mickey, Lynn Shockley and  J.J., Kim Stuart and husband Travis,; sons: Danny Shockley, Ronnie Morgan and wife Erica, Daniel Morgan and wife Julie; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren;  sisters: Hilda Maness and husband Gene, Lucy Ritter and husband Russell; brothers: Billy John Manes, Racy Maness, Jr. and wife Penny; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Memorials may be made to: High Falls Christian Church, P O Box 62, High Falls, NC 27259.
