James Nichols 73 died Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC, with the Reverend Dallas Street, Jr. officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery, Robbins, NC. Following the service the family will receive friends at Soldiers of Mercy Motorcycle Ministry, 7249 Jordan Rd., (Hwy 64), Ramseur, NC.
James was a native of Moore County. He served his country in the United States Army. James worked in the textile industry for many years, retiring for MasterCraft Inc. He loved the Lord and shared his testimony freely. He attended services at Soldiers of Mercy Motorcycle Ministries. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports on television. James was a son of the late Clegde and Hattie Giles Nichols and was preceded in death by his brothers: Jack, Junior, Wesley and Dwight Nichols.
James is survived by his wife: Nancy, of Asheboro; daughters: Angela Street and husband Dallas, of Asheboro, Sabrina Looney and husband Brad, of Pounding Mill, Va. sons: James Nichols and girlfriend, Angela McNeill, of High Falls, John Nichols and girlfriend, ElizabethAnn English, of Liberty; grandchildren: Amber, Jessica, Brittney,Chelsey, Spencer, Cheyenne, John Jr.; great grandchildren: Elijah, Brady sisters: Shirley Beck, Sylvia Sheffield; brothers: Roy and Jewel Nichols.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC and at other times at the home of Dallas, Jr. and Angela Street
