James Paul Maness

James Paul Maness, age 81 of Robbins died Thursday (June 29, 2017) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Flint Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. William J. Hancock and Pastor Bryan Maness. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Kenny and Annie Wallace Maness. He was a US Army veteran where he served as a Combat Engineer in Germany. Early in life, he worked for Carolina Lace and then as a dispatcher for Standard Trucking. After that, he went to work with the Town of Robbins where he worked for 11 years.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Moore; sister Bonnie Faulkner and a brother Donald Maness.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Frances Wicker Maness; sons James Michael Maness and wife Rhonda of Robbins, Randal Keith Maness of Clayton, Anthony Paul Maness of Robbins; daughter Bethany Lambert and husband Chris of Robbins; son-in-law Tony Moore of Robbins; sisters Dorothy Boudoin, Gertrude Duguay, Judy Moore; brothers Clyde Maness, Leroy Maness, David Maness, Johnny Maness all of Robbins; grandchildren Mandy McNeill, Meagan Oyster, Daniel Moore, Taylor Moore, Christopher Maness, Rachel Maness, Chloe Maness, Kirby Lambert, Trevor Lambert, Nicholas Lambert; great-grandchildren Mattie McNeill, Eli, McNeill, Kayla Oyster, Isabella Oyster.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday and other times and the home.
