James Ray' Asbill

James "Ray" R. Asbill, born in Carthage, NC on September 7, 1933, passed away on March 26, 2014, at his residence in Palm Coast, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 AM

He was a union sheet metal worker for 34 years. He is predeceased by his parents Earl and Maggie Asbill and by his sister Mary Harris and his brother Vernon Asbill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Alice Asbill and his children, Becky Kuhn of Cooper City, FL , Janie LaValley of North Rose, NY, Tracy Asbill of Lacombe, LA, Tony Asbill of Pompano Beach, FL, Earl Asbill of Port Orange, Florida and Robert Asbill of Palm Coast, Florida. He is also survived by his step-children, Debra Lee of Palm Coast, FL and Ellen Davis of Tallahassee, FL. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Sam Asbill of Carthage, NC, his sister Gladys Barker of Carthage, NC, and his sister Doris Bunnell of Cameron, NC.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Daytona Beach.
