Jewell Wilson Baxter 94, died Sunday July 5, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC..
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Robbins First Baptist Church, with Reverend Kenneth McNeill and Reverend Gregg Presnal officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Baptist Church Cemetery, Bennett, NC.
Jewell was a native of Moore County and a graduate of Farm Life High School. She owned and operated Cinderella Laundry in Robbins for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Jewell was a member of Robbins First Baptist Church for over 60 years and received the Women’s Missionary Union Woman of the Year Award. She was an active member of the Eastern Star organization.
Jewell was the daughter of the late Harvey and Fannie Hennings Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Windol Baxter, as well as three brothers.
Jewell is survived by her daughter: Jan Bryson and husband Jay, of Robbins; son: Donnie Baxter and wife Vickie, of Asheboro; grandchildren: Chris Williams and wife Nikki, of Mebane, Seth Baxter and wife Tanya, of Asheboro, Selina Baxter, of Asheboro; 3 step grandchildren; great grandchildren: Gracie and Alex.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Robbins First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 400 Robbins, NC 27325 or charity of your choice.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Baxter Family.

Mrs. Baxter was loved in word and in deed by her family. How fortunate that Seth and Selina and the others were able to know their grandmother and great grandmother so well.
