Joan Shelton Britt, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Born on August 29, 1935, in Richmond County, she was a daughter to the late Leonard and Clara McDonald Shelton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Sam Britt; sister: Linda Mabe; brothers: Charles and Johnny Shelton.
Joan is survived by her two children: Randy Britt and wife Cindy of Star, Lori Rakes and husband Tim of Carthage; companion: Jim Douglas of West End; brother: Doyle Shelton and wife Becky; grandchildren: Felicia Britt and Lilly Rakes.
The family will have a graveside memorial service on Tuesday, April, 22, 2025 at 11 am at Biscoe Cemetery.
