Long time Pinehurst resident and senior member of Pinehurst Community Church, Laivora Sally Ehrhardt passed away June 26, 2012 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday July 1, 2012 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Southern Pines.
Mrs. Ehrhardt was predeceased by her husband Herbert Ehrhardt Jr., and their daughter Amelia Rose.
Laivora was the daughter of the late Albert and Ila Sally Laivora. She was born in High Point, February 17, 1913. She and her parents moved to Pinehurst shortly thereafter. She graduated from Pinehurst High School and Women's College in Greensboro and taught in the Morrisville and Aberdeen schools. Subsequently she married and opened a private kindergarten in her home. After several years she returned to the Moore County School system and retired in the mid seventies.
She is survived by three children: Elaine Ehrhardt Cameron and husband Warren, and their children Jeff and Greg; Ann Ehrhardt Dixon and her children Carey and Aaron; Brad Ehrhardt and wife Teresa and their children Christopher, Rebecca and Daniel. Mrs Ehrhardt is also survived by a granddaughter, Liz Moz, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
