Laura Knight Cagle 77, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Red Branch Baptist Church, with Pastor Hubert McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Laura was a graduate of East Carolina University in Education and a teacher for the Moore County Schools for over 30 years. She enjoyed the classroom interaction with all her students. Those students continue to remember their teacher and as they met in the community, would reminisce about her impact on their lives. Laura worked in her yard and liked to see her flowers grow. She was loving wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother and a loyal friend. Laura loved her family and anytime spent with them, especially with her granddaughter. She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Burlena Patterson Knight and was preceded in death by brothers: Bobby Knight, Rabon Knight.
Laura is survived by her husband of 54 years, Allen; sons: Brad Cagle, Brian Cagle and wife Jennifer; granddaughter: Aubrey; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Laura was a great teacher and a great friend. She was truly an inspiration to me during my high school years at Pinecrest. Heaven gained an Angel. Prayers and love for her family.
