Leroy Leonard of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at First Health Hospice Home at the age of 75.

Leroy was born in Wilmington NC on September 22, 1947, to the late James Leonard and Elosie Thomas. Leroy was always full of joy and happiness. He loved life and his family. He grew up as an all-star athlete and there wasn’t a sport he didn’t enjoy.

He leaves his loving companion, Evalina Martin. His children, Derwin Laura, Leroy, Carl, and Marshall; his siblings, Ada Pryor, and Eloise Wilson-Andrews, his grandchildren, Derwin, and Tamara; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Naomi; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


There will be a private service for Leroy, and he will be buried at Sea. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.

For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten.

  1. Leroy always ask me how my mother and father were doing, when I saw him outside the house. And helped us try to find one of our dog’s that came up missing, we didn’t even ask he just got in his car and started looking with us.

  2. My deepest and sincerest condolences to the entire Leonard family. Mr Leonard May you be blessed and know that you were truly loved here on Earth. i have had the pleasure of knowing your son Derwin for many years and he is a fine and upstanding gentleman and in your photos I definitely see him…..May we all get to meet in paradise one day – RIP.
