Linda Mae Taylor

Linda Fields Taylor, 77,  passed away on February 7,2022, at Moore Regional Hospital. 

Daughter of the late Vera Mae Fields and Norman D. Fields, Linda was born on July 7th, 1944 in Carthage, NC.  

She graduated from Carthage High School and went on to do a variety of jobs, her most recent being manager of Short Stop in Seven Lakes. Linda was a hard worker and continued to work up until three days prior to her death. She passed her work ethic on to her sons, James and Mark. She loved her family dearly and loved spending time with her only grandchild, Makenna. She was an avid reader and would spend hours reading books when she had the time. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling. She had a carefree personality and a smile that would light up the room. Her laugh was contagious. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, listed above, brother: Phillip Fields; sister: Virginia Saunders. 

Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons: James Taylor of Carthage, NC and Mark Taylor (Dena) of Laurinburg, NC; sister: Norma Ann Conoly of Carthage, NC; brothers: Norman D Fields, Jr  “Bud” of Carthage, NC  and Charles Fields of Kernersville, NC; granddaughter: Makenna Taylor; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Priest Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
