Linda Maness, 64, died on Monday, October 1, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Prosperity Friends Church, Robbins, NC, where she was a member, with Reverend Josh Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery, Borden Road, Robbins, NC.
Mrs. Maness was born in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Clinton Howard and Alma Maness Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Maness. She worked for Moore County Schools and was known to all the children as 'Miss Linda'.
Linda is survived by daughters: Lisa Kennedy and husband James, of Robbins, Jennifer Parker and husband Tolar, of Greenville, SC. son: Steven Maness and wife Sandra, of Robbins, grandchildren: Melissa Kennedy, Stacie Kennedy and Rider Maness.
Memorials may be made to Prosperity Friends Church, 2487 River Road, Robbins, NC 27325.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Steven and Sandra Maness, 1920 Spies Road, Robbins, NC.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Maness family.
