Mary P. Thomas, age 80, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Summer Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Arnold Comer officiating.
Born January 13, 1935 in Marion, SC she later moved to North Carolina and married Willie Thomas, they ran a dairy and poultry farm for several years. She had twins in 1962, Donna and Deborah. She was an avid dog lover. She had a stroke in 1972 that left her partially paralyzed but she never gave up. She was a great lady and mom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J Thomas and siblings: Grady Thomas, Fredrick Rosser, Leona Bullard, Virginia Newman.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Thomas of the home, Donna Ritter and husband, Ricky of Robbins; sisters:Juanita Burroughs of Charleston, SC and Helen Hinsley of Carthage; grandsons: Rickey Kanoy and wife Amber and Kendall Kanoy.
The family will receive friends following the service and at the home of daughter, Donna Ritter.
