Matthew Ragsdale
January 31, 1976 ~ January 1, 2023
Matthew Wayne Ragsdale of Moore County age 46 died, in Moore Regional hospital on January 1, 2023.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Bruce Ragsdale, his 2 daughters Anna and Madelyn Ragsdale, his parents Murphy and Kathy Ragsdale of Southern Pines, and his brother Mitch Ragsdale of Longs, SC.
A memorial service will be held at Pinehurst United Methodist 4111 Airport Rd, Pinehurst NC 28374 at 2 pm on Friday, January 6.
Please honor Matt by wearing something colorful and casual. Feel free to wear his favorite apparel Hawaiian, golf, or wrestling shirt.
I had the honor of working with Matt with Moore County Schools. He was loved by all students and staff. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

Kim and I are grieved for you all in your loss of Matt. Such a good, dedicated man to family and work. I worked with Matt at Union Pines and found him to be greatly concerned for his students and athletes. I was impressed with his integrity and drive to develop not only great wrestlers but great men.He always talked about Liz and Anna and Madelyn. It was obvious you all were most important in his life.
