Michael Dean Hollar

February 22, 1954 ~ April 29, 2024
Michael "Mike" Dean Hollar, 70, of Jackson Springs, lost his battle with Cancer on April 29th, 2024, and gained an eternity with the Father in Heaven. He was home with his family when he passed.
Mike was born on February 22nd, 1954, to the late William Eugene Hollar and Daisey Teague Hollar of Lowesville, NC. Over the years, he has worked for Charlotte Paint of Mount Holly, NC, as a Foreman and Painter for Ace Tire and Axle of TX as a Truck Driver and Axle Buyer. He has also worked locally as an Escort and Truck Driver for the mobile home industry, KLG of Vass, and MTO of Cameron, NC.
He was a hard-working man and was talented in many areas like mechanic work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. He could do just about anything. He was a mover and a shaker. The guy you call to get the job done. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles, car racing, and football. He also loved playing his guitar and singing karaoke while cooking out with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Dean Hollar Jr. of Tallahassee, FL. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Danny William Hollar of Maiden, NC, and Allison Eugene Hollar of Dallas, TX, Shirley Ann Stapleton of Lowesville, NC, and Mary "Coleen" Moses of Longview, NC.
He is survived by his wife Paula Miller Hollar of Jackson Springs, NC, children Marty Lee Hollar of Conover, NC, Lisa E Fennel of Jasper, FL, Jamie Hollar of Tallahassee, FL, Danny Allen Hollar of Roanoke, VA; Wayne Eugene Hollar of Lincolnton, NC; stepchildren Mikel Larry Scott of Maiden, NC; Makayla Danielle Miller of Jackson Springs, NC; Kaitlyn Nicole Miller of Jackson Springs, NC; 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was an amazing man. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be a Memorial Service for Mike at Crumpler Funeral Home on May 26th, 2024, from 2-4 pm.
