Mrs. Nycie Jon Stancil, 74, of Aberdeen died Tuesday August 20, 2013 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23rd at Roseland United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Willard officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Born October 9, 1938 and a native of Hoke County she was a daughter of late John McAnulty and was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Mary Elizabeth McAnulty and her brother, Pat McAnulty.
Mrs. Stancil was Part-owner and Administrator of Stancil Heating and Air Conditioning, was active in the Longleaf Square Dance, The Yellow Rockers, the Santa Claus Collection, and was an avid Seamstress.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joel Stancil of Aberdeen, two daughters, Mary Stancil Hartsell and husband Lloyd, Jean Stancil Frye and husband Gerald, one son, James Stancil all of Roseland, one brother, Mike McAnulty of Oak Ridge, four grandchildren, Jessica Hartsell, Samantha and husband Justin Mack, Harrisen Frye, and Evanne Frye.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines
