CARTHAGE
Olympia Sabatino, age 85, died Tuesday at Peak Resources - Pinelake in Carthage.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Sunday at Carthage First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut she was the daughter of the late Stephen Tegulias and Mary Cataman Tegulias. She grew up in Trumbell, Connecticut and worked as a secretary at Dictaphone Corp in Bridgeport, Connecticut until her retired in 1960. Her family moved to Carthage in November 2001.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Sabatino and a daughter, Doreen Carr of Carthage.
The family will received friends on Saturday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage and other times at the home.
