Ricky Eugene Williams, 72, of Southern Pines, NC passed away July 7, 2016 at the First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC.
Ricky was a native of Moore County. He graduated from Southern Pines High School in 1963. Ricky owned R.E. Williams Inc. for 30 years. He was avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors, especially the beach. He was known for his sense of humor and friendliness. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.
He is predeceased by his parents Lennie and Iola Williams, sisters Georgia Ferguson and Jeannette Cook and brother Paul Williams.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Williams of Southern Pines, NC, daughter Ginger Sims (Dan) and their daughters Emma and Annie of Winston Salem and son Ricky Williams II (Monica) of Pinehurst and their children Candice, Breannea and Benjamin.
The family will have a brief memorial service on Sunday July 10th at Rubicon Farm, 564 Rubicon Road, West End at 2 pm followed by a celebration of life and a meal. This will be a casual gathering so dress comfortably for the weather.
A special thank you to the nurses at First Health Neuro/Medical ICU and First Health Hospice, especially Lauren, Tommie and Nancy who provided exceptionally compassionate care to Ricky as well as to his family.
