Robert "Bobby" Marley
February 17, 1953 ~ December 15, 2025
Robert “Bobby” Nathaniel Marley, Jr., 72, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Bobby loved being outdoors. He spent most of his life working in construction for Timken, Guy M. Turner and others. His last job was with Moore County Solid Waste. He loved people and liked to spend time with family and friends, especially at the “Old Place”. Bobby was always ready with a story to share and he never met a stranger. He also enjoyed raising game chickens. He was a son of the late Robert and Ruth Burnette Marley.
He is survived by son: Stephen Marley and wife Katie; daughter: Erica Thompson and husband Alan; grandchildren: Athan, Bradon, Caibrey, Tyler, Aubrey, Heidi; sisters: Jenean Garner and husband Keith, Marnita Brower and husband Greg; brother: Frank Marley and wife Jan; many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM, Friday, December 19, 2025 at Kennedy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial may ber made to Robbins First Wesleyan Church or the Robbins Masonic Lodge.

I considered Bobby a life long friend. He was quite the character, but that’s what made him Bobby. So sorry to hear of his passing. May God give comfort and understanding to all of his family and friends.
