Robert Linton Seawell, age 86 of the Glendon community of Moore County died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday at Cool Springs UMC Cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Hulen Ray Seawell and Effie Ethel Hughes Seawell. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired as a Foreman in Utilities Construction. He also worked for Glendon Pyrophyllite Mine and enjoyed farming, gardening and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Ann Maness Seawell; son Ray Lee Seawell; brothers Henry Seawell, Gurney Seawell and Ray Seawell; sister Lucille Shields; granddaughter Shanna Rae Seawell.
He is survived by daughters, Phyllis Foley and husband Bill of Pinehurst, Kay Chapman and husband Jonathan of Carthage, Teresa Seawell of Carthage, Kristy Hamilton and husband John of Carthage; son Tim Seawell and wife Tammy of Carthage; sister Helen Thomas of Olivia; brothers Eugene Seawell and Floyd Seawell both of Carthage; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
