Roy Thomas Scott

Roy Thomas Scott, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Roy was born October 18, 1938 to the late Joseph and Bertha Ann Maness Scott.
Roy worked in the textile industry for many years and later for Mansion Homes. He loved the Lord and was a very dedicated member of his church.
Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his two brothers: Fred Scott, Joseph Scott; and sister: Thelma Davis.
Roy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ila Williamson Scott; son: Gary Scott and wife Sandra; daughter: Denise Rushing; brothers: James Scott, David Scott and wife Peggy, John Scott and wife Louise, Robert Scott; grandchildren: Terry Rushing, Christy Rushing and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Rex Knight officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

I’m going to miss you uncle Roy all the good times we had at Bible Pentecostal
I will miss Uncle Roy .. I love you all so much and I am praying for you all
Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of the Scott family and attending Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church with my Grandparents. I am so sad to hear the news of Roy’s passing. He was a good man and a true servant of the Lord. May God be with the family and comfort as only he can.
