Ruth Muse Cummings, 88, of Carthage passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Siler City Center and Rehabilitation.
Born on September 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Donnie Holt Muse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lindsey “Dink” Cummings.
She is survived by her two sons: Ronnie (Vickie) Cummings of Galax, VA and Johnny (Dorothy) Cummings of Carthage; three grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Vass on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Trey Martin officiating.

Ruth “Tump” was loved by so many people, as she was an inspiration of true faith and trust
in her Heavenly Father.
Ronnie,Johnny and family, to know “Tump” was to love her. Being raised in Vass I don’t ever remember a time that I didn’t know her. She was our Mom’s sweet friend and we have been with Mama many times to her house to visit. She taught me the chords on her piano. Such fond memories💕
May God give you the peace only He can in this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Miss Tump…I appreciate all you did for my sweet Bentley. He loved him some Trump food.
