Samuel Barber

Sam Barber, age 66 of Carthage died Friday (November 14, 2014) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Summer Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chad Nall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.

 

A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Jerry Sam Barber and Alice Reid Barber. He was a self employed painter.

 

He is survived by: a daughter Patricia Barber of Cameron; son Michael Barber and wife Amy of Carthage; brother Jackie Barber of West End; sister Diane Barber of West End; grandsons Joel Barber and Dakota Barber.

 

The family will receive friends at Summer Hill Baptist Church prior to the service.
