Sandra Bibey

Sandra Oldham Bibey, age 72 of Carthage died Wednesday (June 7, 2017) at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at First Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Rick Martindale. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Lee County she was a daughter of the late Luther G. Oldham and Nannie Wicker. She retired as a case worker from Moore County Department of Social Services in 2011.
She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and Elder. She also received the Lifetime Award in 2013 by the Presbyterian Women.
Sandra was always active and enjoyed many hobbies including canning and freezing, gardening, making cards, reading, painting, teaching art and photography. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and above all loved her God.
She was preceded in death by sisters Mannon Cameron and Barbara McClenney and a brother Luther “Pat” Oldham.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years Jimmy Bibey; sons Anthony James “Tony” Bibey and wife Karen of Pinebluff, Layton Shawn Bibey and wife Waynette of Carthage; daughter Ashley Grey Bibey of Carthage; five grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 14 nieces and six nephews.
The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday and other times at the home.

Sandra was a great woman who will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
So very sorry for your loss. Sandra had so many talents and was a truly giving person. I know she will be missed by many.
A dear friend of mine died. But I learned a lesson from her death. When I left Carthage, I felt I was leaving a lot of pain and I never kept in touch with the people that meant a lot to me. Life is full of regrets. Please, people, don’t do as I did. Love
