Sybil Hooker Brown, 75, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, September 15, 2014 at Pleasant View Friends Church.
Sybil was the daughter of the late Tyson and Mary Hooker. She was preceded in death by her son, Dwayne Odell Brown.
Sybil is survived by her husband of 55 years, Odell Brown; daughter, Donna Bryson and husband Shad, of Carthage; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Brown, of Wilmington; three brothers - Bill Hooker of Asheboro; Dwight Hooker and wife, Maggie, of Asheboro; John Hooker and wife, Kelly, of Ramseur; grandchildren - Ryan Brown; Stephen Brown and wife, Donna; Mary Catherine Brown; Jake Bryson; and great grandchild, Skylar O’Quinn.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2014.
Memorial contributions may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374 and Pleasant View Friends Church Cemetery Fund, 13942 NC Hwy 24/27, Eagle springs, NC 27242.

I remember my mother – Betty Garner – always talking about what fun she and Sybil always got into at work and how much they enjoyed each other’s company. I would walk in to the house and Mother would be on the phone and Daddy would say – talking with Sybi
