Thomas Albert Norris

Thomas Albert Norris 73, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January, 13, 2014 at Bright Light Baptist Church, Robbins, NC, with the Reverend Ralph VonCannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service from 5:00 til 7:00 PM and at other time at the home of Carolyn Owens, Seagrove, NC.
Thomas loved to fish and spend time with family. He loved to sit on the porch enjoying a cigarette and cup of coffee while shooting the breeze to anyone he could talk to.
Thomas was born in Sampson County. He was a son of the late Johnny Thomas and Pauline Richardson Norris and was preceded in death by sisters: Betty Norris Ledbetter and Neaomie Norris Freeman. He served in the United States Air Force. He was employed by Proctor Silex, Southern Pines; Moen, Sanford; GVK, Candor. Thomas was also a self employed plumber and hydraulic technician.
He is survived by daughters: Kimberly Gibson and husband Sonny of Troy, Tamara Mackey and husband Buddy of Jackson Springs, son: Cliff Norris of Troy, grandchildren: Matraca and Alia Gibson, Austin Mackey, Chayzley Norris, sisters: Jo Wilson, of Sanford, Brenda McLean, of Supply, Nancy Garrett, of Hendersonville, Carolyn Owens, of Seagrove, Deborah Singleton, of Eagle Springs, brother: Ricky Wayne Norris, of Supply.
