Timmy Lee Morgan (73) born on 6/30/1952, passed away on 1/16/2026 at his residence. 

He loved the outdoors and spent countless hours doing what he loved: hunting and fishing. He loved going to the beach and spending time with his family. Timmy never met a stranger and loved to talk with anyone he met. He loved preaching the word of God and wanted people to know that “Jesus Loves You”, taking every opportunity to guide them towards Him.  

He was the son of the late Jessie Lee Morgan and Betty Lou Key Morgan. 

He is survived by his sons, Travis Morgan and Thad Morgan (Michelle). Brother Stoney Morgan (Olivia). Grandson Mason Morgan. Nieces Shana and Samantha, and nephews Dakota and Landon. Also, surviving is long-time friend Sharon Wright. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Laurinburg Church of God, Laurinburg, NC, or a charity of your choice. 

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Browns Chapel Church, with Pastor John Chavis officiating. The family will welcome visitors at 1 pm at the church.

  1. The news of Timmy passing is heartbreaking . He was a dear friend of ours , especially for Floyd. They grew up together and have so many wonderful memories . The family is in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

  5. We loved Tim and enjoyed his friendship at East Laurinburg Church of God. He was always uplifting in our conversations and was a wonderful friend.

  6. Travis, Thad and family. there are not enough words to express my feelings. I grew up with Timmy (I could tell you some stories, not bad just mischievous). So many memories as we had our own family. You were a great person, lots of laughs. Your mom and dad welcomed you with open arms. You are home. We will miss you down here.

  9. PT Called me and prayed for me when I was sick and in pain and grief and continued sending weekly videos of his church sermons and prayed for me.I never met him in person but will never forget what he done for me in the name of Jesus.
