Timothy Douglas Saunders

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Timothy Douglas Saunders on May 2, 2025 at Randolph Hospital.

Doug is survived by mother Joan Parks Saunders of Highfalls; brother John Saunders (Hannah) and nephew Grayson of Highfalls; daughter Gracie Saunders (Romello) and grandson Diego of Mt Gilead; grandparents Larry and Judy Luck of Seagrove.

He was preceded in death by father Timothy Bruce Saunders, uncles Tommy and Randy Saunders, grandparents Clyde and Clara Saunders, and cousin Marshall Northcutt.

Doug worked for many years for Odell Brady Sawmill in Coleridge, NC where his love for truck driving began. He was currently employed by Kevin Teague Trucking in Liberty, NC.  Doug attended Seagrove Christian Church in Seagrove, NC.  He had a great love for hunting with his family and friends.  His beloved dog Bill went on many hunts.  He treasured his time with his daughter Gracie and grandson Diego, he loved being a grandpa.  He will be remembered as a kind and loving person.

Funeral service will be 11  AM Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Unity Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at the Saunders Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, May 9, 2025 at Kennedy Funeral Home.
