Vivian B. Blue

Vivian 'Pankey' Bailey Blue, age 71 died Sunday at her home.
Funerals services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Culdee Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Joseph Washburn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times the home.
A native of Greene County she was a daughter of late Willie 'Earl' and Carolee (Croom) Bailey. After graduating from Sanford Business College she went to work for Robert M. Page, Jr. Attorney at Law as a legal secretary. Later she worked seasonally at Farmers Tobacco Warehouse and also part time with the Moore County Board of Elections.
She is survived by: her husband of nearly 53 years Richard Blue; sons Ronnie Blue and wife Shelia of West End, Richard Blue, Jr. and wife Chris of Summerfield; sister Sondra B. Smith of Marshton, NC; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.; and her aunt, Sissy Croom.

Vivian was part of my class of 1959 at Southern Pines High School. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. She was always fun, caring, and cheerful. A beautiful person, and I will always remember her that way.
