Walter William Gray, 90, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St Joseph of the Pines, Southern Pines, NC.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, with Reverend Arnold Comer officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD.
Walter was a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He served his county in the United States Navy. Walter owned and operated a hardware business. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved music and played the trombone for many years. He was a son of the late Edmund and Mary Ann Ciemny Grzybowski and was preceded in death by wife: Grace Gray; brother: Melvin Grzybowski.
Walter is survived by daughter: Diane Zeller and husband Robert, of Roanoke, VA.; son: Paul Gray and wife Geraldine, of Sanford; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, NC.
