William “Josh” “Bill” "Big Daddy" Oldham 69, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Beulah Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Dr. Neal Jackson officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00 PM.

William was native of Chatham County. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked in the house moving business since 1969. William was a hard working man, loved Jesus, and looked forward to being with Him and meeting many who have gone on before him in Glory. He was a son of the late Carl Lewis and Bertha Lee Hancock Oldham and was preceded in death by 6 siblings.

William is survived by his wife, Dahlia Gubalane Oldham of 27 years; daughter: Janice Gatlin and husband John, of Asheboro; sons: Tim Oldham and wife Jill, of Ramseur, DJ and Carl Oldham, of Seagrove, Josh Oldham, of Seagrove/Columbia, SC; grandchildren: Brian and Amy Gatlin, Marshall and Jessa Oldham; sister:  Linda Eastwood, of Richmond, VA., brothers: Wayne and George Oldham, of Bear Creek. His beloved Chow Chows: Lindsey, Mia and Micah.  He is also survived by a large extended family and friends, because he never met a stranger.

Memorial may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 8454 Howards Mill Road, Bennett, NC 27208.
