William Wesley Wolters Jr.

William “Bill” W. Wolters Jr., at the age of 84, passed away peacefully in the company of his family on
April 4, 2022, at St. Josephs of the Pines. A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, April 13, 2022,
1 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines, NC.

Bill was born on May 29, 1937, in Hackensack, New Jersey. Bill was the son of William W. Wolters and
Helen M. Snyder Wolters. He is a graduate of Fletcher Academy in Fletcher, North Carolina where he
and his wife, Vickie, first met. After his service as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, he was
married to Vickie Flowers Stinson on October 18, 1959, in Birmingham, Alabama. Bill and his wife
settled in Northern Virginia where he had a career in business, raised a family, and was active in the
Seventh Day Adventist church. Bill retired in 2002 from Potomac Electric Power Company. He was a
devoted Christian, husband, and father. He enjoyed spending time traveling and visiting with his family.

Bill is survived by his son, Jeffrey Wolters, and wife Paige, his grandchildren, Ainslee, Luke and Dylan,
sisters, Virginia and Deborah, and brothers, George, Kenneth, and Dwayne Wolters.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Vickie F. Wolters, his sons
William W. Wolters III and Joseph B. Wolters, his sister Naomi, and brothers Robert, James, and Floyd
Wolters.
