Aaron Bailey, age 22 of Carthage died Friday (December 17, 2010) at UNC Hospital, of complications from heart surgery.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Crossroads Community Church conducted by the Evangelist David Bibey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
A native of Moore County he was a graduate of Union Pines High School and was chaplain of the ROTC his senior year. He was employed with Lowes Foods in Pinehurst where he worked in the deli. A devote Christian, he was an active member of Crossroads Community Church and is now at peace and gone to heaven to be with his Lord. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching most all sports.
He is survived by: his mother Mechelle Gibbons Kelly of Carthage; father Asa Bailey, II and wife Carmen Martin Bailey of Aberdeen; brothers Asa Bailey, III of Pinehurst, Andrew Bailey and wife Allison of Eastwood, Michael Bailey of Aberdeen; sister Patricia Brewer of Carthage; step sister Ashley Cole; step brothers Justin and Jonathan Cole; maternal grandmother Nancy Sherman of Carthage; aunts and uncles Beth Youst and husband Daryl,Andy Gibbons,Tommy Gibbons, II and wife Cristy, Alex Gibbons, Brian Gibbons and wife Laura, David Bailey and wife Angela, Roberta Maness and husband Richard, Leah Collins and husband Rodney, Maria Bailey; nephews Asa Bailey, IV and Wesley Bailey; niece Hanna Bailey;several cousins and countless friends who will all miss him greatly.
Memorials may be made to: Crossroads Community Church, or there will be an educational fund established for Aaron's nieces and nephews and contributions may be sent c/o Asa Bailey, 195 Woodgreen, Ln., Aberdeen, NC 28315.

I was a comanager at Lowes Foods and was transfered to another store. Aaron was upbeat, and had high morals. You could always count on seeing a smile on his face. I am deeply sadden, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
