Abigail Alexander Baughn, age 36, of 333 Baughn Trail passed away on Sunday (May 24, 2009) at her residence.

A funeral service will be held Friday (May 29, 2009) at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. Zeb V. Moss officiating.

A native of Moore County she was the daughter of the late James Lee Alexander. She attended UNC Chapel Hill and ultimately earned a Masters Degree. She began her career as a social worker for Moore County. In 1999, she entered the Moore County School System as an Exceptional Children's Teacher at Union Pines High School in which she later became program director and currently served as Assistant Principal for Pinecrest High School.

She is survived by: her husband, Randy Baughn; her mother, Betty Henson Alexander of West End; two brothers, Kenneth Alexander and Michael Alexander both of West End; and her in-laws, Martin and Lavina Baughn of Carthage.

The family will receive friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Thursday from 6:00 —8:00 PM and other time at the residence of Martin and Lavina Baughn.
