Ada Bowen Monroe Baker 92, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living, Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at West End United Methodist Church, West End, NC, where she was a member. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Private graveside services will be held at Pine Rest Cemetery, Robbins, NC.
Ada was a native of Bladen County. She enjoyed golf and traveling. She enjoyed time spent with friends from the church and the community. Ada was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She especially loved the time spent with all her family.
Ada was a daughter of the late Ed and Ada Jane Bowen. She was preceded in death by husband: Cloma Ralph Monroe.
Ada is survived by her husband, Edward R. Baker; daughter: Jane Spivey and husband James J. Spivey, of Baton Rouge, LA; son: Rodney Monroe and wife Jill, of Summerville, SC; grandchildren: Thomas R. Monroe, Amy Lynn Bunch, Ryan Spivey, James Scott Garst and 5 great grandchildren.
